Our “Van & Driver” service can be hired for individual day-trips, or for several consecutive days, anywhere in Costa Rica.

Our private driver service is the ideal solution for small groups, families, community projects or school groups looking for flexible and reliable transportation during your visit to Costa Rica.
Bilingual drivers (English & Spanish) are available upon request at no additional cost. All our expert drivers are locals; they know the best routes and the current road conditions. They know the good places to stop for lunch and the places with the amazing views to take pictures. All drivers carry a cell phone and are happy to share wifi access with you (where available).
The vehicles used for “Van and Driver” are recent model vans always less than 6 years old. They have air-conditioning and all the government licenses, inspections and insurance.
One-day Van & Driver
Van & Driver rentals for one day are available in the following areas:
- Arenal Volcano – La Fortuna
- San Jose Metropolitan Area and San Jose Airport including Alajuela, Heredia, Santa Ana, Belén, etc.
- Tamarindo Area: includes Langosta Beach, Flamingo, Conchal, Potrero, Playa Grande and all nearby beaches
- Papagayo Area: includes El Coco, Hermosa, the Riu Resorts and Papagayo
- Jaco and Los Sueños: also nearby Playa Hermosa

Multiday Van & Driver
Van & Driver rentals of 3 days or more can start anywhere in Costa Rica and go to any location you need to. Prices range from $190 US to $300 US per day, depending on your group size and itinerary. This daily fee includes all expenses: taxes, fuel, parking, highway tolls, insurance and lodging and meals for the driver.
In our experience, most families and small groups have a better experience and spend less money by using a combination of a full time driver on some days, private transfers between locations on other days and our local drivers for short trips at each location.
